I've been accused many times of being "as subtle as a rock to the head".

Well I live in Georgia and was called to work for some people in southern Florida. They called me twice now. they are on the other side of the state, but I did haul alot of stuff to Orlando for them when I did work for them.

    yea ,,yea,,yea,,,

i wouldnt hire you ,,only on your 1st job [3 months] and left, or got fired....

you kind of cry-babies are the reason this work doesnt pay ,,like it should!!

    GROW THE up

if you had to do, and drive what i did 20 years ago ,,,,,,you might still have a job now ,,, and not be looking for one...

PS try going to hunts pt. at 21 years old on your 1st trip, then to philly market on your 2nd

Yea, Florida is a VERY hard area for most trucking companies. They TAKE a lot of stuff in, but don't have a lot going out, so they don't hire many drivers who live in Florida. Plus, everybody and his brother would love to run that area rather than Wisconsin or something (especially in the winter)...so that makes the situation even worse. Why? Because the companies simply have the drivers they already own drive down there instead of hiring drivers that live in Florida. Heck, move to New Jersey and you'll get a job within SECONDS of moving there, LOL. Driving in Florida is gravy, most everyone likes it, so it is a simple supply and demand issue.

I used to drive for Heartland Express for over 3 years and we had a terminal in Jacksonville, but they won't hire drivers with under one year. Even though we had a terminal in Jacksonville even we still had a HELL of a time getting loads out of Florida...either we got crap loads or we had to deadhead a long way out...

You might try LCT (Lester Coggins Trucking) they are owned by Gainey and are based in Okahumpka, FL (wherever that is). I dont know much about them, but I know it is a reefer operation.

I recently called Roadmaster to ask some questions and If you took your initial training at Roadmaster, they will let you do the refresher training at no cost and also help you find a job. Not sure where you went to school, but if you didn't go to RM, I think the fee is only $750. Just an idea. Good luck.

Its Refers but it isn't that bad.
