Sorry, didn't realize two hours made a thread old.. also, I do not recruit from here because I work for a small group of select truck companies that have strict and stringent requirements for the experienced drivers they hire..

Yes, you're absolutely right! They would be subject to the provisions of the Prevention of Trucking Companies Being Total Heartless Non-Paying Jerks Act of 1927. You see, late in the spring of 1924, a group of truckers met with influential US Congressmen to request relief from the illegal and unfair practices of the major truc--

Oh, wait, that got repealed. Sorry.

Now mileage theft is codified in the HHG. So, yeah. Those miles clicking by on the odometer? Rand McNally says 15 out of every 100 never happened.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled outrage, already in progress.....

Worst penalty? $50,000 time/temp sensitive pharma load heading for int'l flight. Average high value JIT where late= plant shutdown? $10,000. (Like car plants)

Mostly? Repower then reschedule if we can't repower. Teams are goofy like that.

Might sit out the weekend because receiver is closed. Schedule plus a preplan derailed because load was in a preloaded trailer with leaking air break chambers so stix

I dunno... Small possibility a night crew can do it and I can get out of here.

Some douchebag wanted $300 for being a couple hours late.
I drove to the ts and resceduled.
They then charged me $150 rescheduling fee.
    Company charged me $75.
I no longer accept loads to douchebag.
