Just looked at the site and it looks like in screwed according to the fine print. Doubt I can cancel my order.

And my reason for wanting to return it to stock is just in case a person downloaded a corrupt update.

 

We can "fake" the Dock to download fresh Maps. And I can remote into your computer to "drive" this process and look at the other folders/files to see if they are good.

Unit has been doing OK. Was able to update it with no issues. Will have to get used to it since I've been using copilot forever.

 

I have bought 4 last 3.5 years 2-720 2-730,s I will NEVER buy another Rand Mcnally Gps, they simply are junk! first 3 i got a little over a year out of them before software crashes, tried to do diagnostics and repair at mcnally dock on pc and no good! my current 730 now keeps powering off ive had it 9 months going to do warrently claim on this one but honestly who has the time to deal with that I had to buy a new one yesterday as i need it to get around there goes another #### $400! I saw some saying going to buy Garmin 770 well I did and I dont like it, mabey im just used to tnd not sure yet but ill tell u multi stop trips are very difficult with the 770 and u lose a lot of features the tnd has like fuel milage calculate, search for rest areas, ill give it more time but so far not impressed with Garmin! what we/ consumers need is a dependable gps that holds up not the garbage they sell for a ton of money simply put im FED UP!!!

Powering off - I would look at the DC end of the cord and make sure it is nice and snug into the DC Connector you have it plugged into. Take a zip tie if you have to and put it between the DC plug and connector. Powering off/white screen/dark screen are all symptoms of a power issue and usually that is in the way it is plugged in.

The DC cord output should be rated for 5vdc/2.4A, anything less and you are not supplying enough power to the TND 730. It has a high Def screen plus it has to charge the battery.

USB fast chargers or DC bullets do not work. Not enough steady current flow.

Why did you not post to the support thread with the issue(s)?

im waiting till i get home gonna be a week or so, anyway my current one problem is at tnd device plug in i beleave bad connector on device but in fairness when home going to get a new plug cord from one of the several others ive had to buy and try new cord if that dont work then this one going in under warrenty
