Well they may usually they like people who, have worked there as warehouse workers or merchandisers, but you never know. The works pretty hard lots of stops and building displays don't really do that much driving, you get to see many convenient stores and gas stations.
Nestle Direct Store Delivery also does some training I see them training guys to upgrade there license and stuff. -
Food service companies also hire with only a permit.
Sygma Network is one of them. -
Did this from 18-25yo... it'll keep you in shape if you're doing route delivery off the truck.
You may avg delivering 300-500 cases per day BUT touch them multiple times.
It's about customer service.. rotating dates.. product presentation.. working outside in the heat and cold.. putting up with snotty convenience store managers that think they are a CEO of some Fortune 500 company... and not getting a scheduled break for lunch except to swallow a sandwich as you drive to your next delivery.
THAT'S THE TRUTH.
But, you'll be home every night.
You'll earn a decent wage.
You'll have a good time.
You'll gain experience operating a smaller CMV in tight spots.
I've lived it. No lielocalguy65 and Shanebme3 Thank this. -

Reinhart Foodservice and McLane Foodservice run ads for cdl permit holders to hire on as "Driver Helpers" or Driver Associates." These 2 companies train you with running teams with the other driver and helping him unload at the various customers. You get 90 days to qualify for the hard copy cdl.
Check with Hadden House in Richburg and ask if they have a program like that. -
Veriha Trucking has their own cdl school and offers weekends home. They hire from South Carolina.
