Set mine off a few times as well... only time anything was said was when I was called in about it once... when I got there, they gave me a paper certificate and a pat on the back for "avoiding a possible accident" from the actions of others in the Atlanta area...

so they don't just use the cameras to "get you".

    Just my two cents.

How much do regional guys make on average after taxes? Is there per diem pay?

Just heard about this company today. Automatic and pet friendly. Not too crazy about the cents per mile but the trucks are nice as hell for someone who's going to be living out of one. One thing that gets me is the camera. They're not like rhoel where they'll randomly spy on you are they? Microphones on them too or just visual? I'm not a big police state fan.

Also, what is the big deal about NYC? Low overpasses?

Thing about our cents-per-mile: We're paid the same for all mileage, regardless of whether we're loaded or not. Buddy of mine who went through CDL class at the same time I did went with PTL and was looking forward to 42 cents per mile with them...right up until he found out that they only pay loaded miles, and don't pay a dime for deadhead or bobtail miles.

I've been deadheaded from Indy to Wytheville, VA and got paid for every one of those miles.

I was looking at West side transport. They pay something called accessorial pay. No idea what that is. Will Abilene allow you to go home for things like paying rent at the end of the month or what's the scoop? Im guessing their home time is on weekends. I can safely say I'm interested. Still not crazy about the camera though or NYC.

How much? Depends on the Driver.

    Per Diem Pay? Yes
    (but you won't like it.)

CPM? More to a company than CPM.
(This company has a good package.)

    Trucks/Freight? Effing Awesome!
    (Most of the time... LOL)

    Cameras? Assume they are watching.
(If you're a safe driver, no worries.)

NYC? Yes, low bridges and tight lanes.
    (Every city has them.)

    Rocknroller4 and 460/580 Thank this.

Home to Pay Rent? Yes, if you use your hometime to do so, but why? Do it online. Why go home to hand someone a piece of paper? Hometime should be more fun than that. Drivers normally get 1 day home for every 6 days out and can be any day of the week but weekends are a good time to take off for sure.

Not crazy about cameras and NYC? Honestly, neither are a big deal. If you are OTR, you might hit NYC a couple times a year. If you are a Safe Driver and do your job right, you'll probably never hear a word about the camera. If you are an unsafe driver, well... never mind.

    Good Company
    with
    Great Freight
    and
    Awesome Equipment

    Stay Safe,
    MD

Well cause my landlord lives in MA and I live in Albrightsville, PA lol. No online nothing. I mail a check. Anyways, it says 1 year OTR experience. I only have six months but I am a graduate from a trucking school in 2012. Think they'd roll with that?
