Internal parts for a steam turbine. Lots of sharp edges on top of the rack. We used to haul these on plywood flat on the deck until they had the racks built a couple years ago.

Hauled this today. Test equipment for steam generator. No idea what it actually does.

I do like that it comes with the tarp installed. Luckily no rain today or I would have had to get out my 8ft drop for all this.

IMG_20170405_165858582_HDR.jpg Change of pace from my usual oil field equipment yesterday. An 18,000 lb diesel engine. Had to stop twice to deal with the ###### Saran wrap tearing apart on a 240 mile run.

Two days of running in soupy mud before picking up this load. Had the tractor trailer washed today in anticipation of a load from yard to yard tomorrow.

Why not just remove it from the beginning? If they want to keep it slide it off the top and put it back when you get there.

I will do that next time, but the shipper had an eagle eye on me, it was a hot load and I didn't feel like stopping to work the cotter pins back out of the chain hooks to do it right.

@cnsper using your trick of a binder on both sides. @MJ1657 trying your suggestion of ratchets on both sides.
Friggin' short chains, I should measure. They look like 16' or 18'.

Thanks for all the tips and ideas along the way guys!

It actually isn't riding badly. I would have preferred ratchet binders on the discs. I'd tighten up one chain the one beside it would go slack. Instead of a couple clicks I'm chasing full links.

    Just another lesson learned.
