What is the purpose of these two switches and how I should use them in driving?

The Xfer high and low baffles me, If I start talking everyone will know I am dumb about this. So I am curious as well.Shock Therapy Thanks this. -
My guess would be that the switch on the left is to engage the 4 wheel drive and the switch on the right is high and low range for the 4 wheel drive.

I would go with the high and low range thought for that right hand switch and front axle on/off for the left hand switch.

@Shock Therapy is correct.
You should be able to engage the [Front Axle] switch while moving, as long as there is no wheel spin and you are not turning.
Do not switch the [Xfer...] switch while moving and make sure the clutch is fully depressed so the clutch brake is engaged (or the engine is shut off) because if there is any power transmitted to the transfer case it will spin up in neutral.
If you want to disengage the transfer case completely (eg. for towing) put the [Xfer...] switch in the [Neutral] position. Again though, be careful when switching out of neutral and make sure the clutch brake is engaged or the engine is shut off. You can really wreck the gears in the transfer case if there is any rotation coming from the transmission while switching.Last edited: Apr 8, 2017

If it's 4x4, I'm going to guess switch on the left activates 4x4, and hi, neutral, low would be the rate the transfer case is geared, similar to a 4x4 pick up, you can select hi or low
