You need to brush up on your reading comprehension, I never said anything about JCT, I said most l/p, and my point was and still is how can you be a "business owner" when you don't own anything? If your happy ,good for you but paying for somebody else's worn out truck is not for me.

For the record, I do not do used. I'm the 1st driver in any truck I drive, period, except my very 1st one which I kept exactly 90 days.

Please reference anywhere that the definition of a “business owner” requires the ownership of anything other than the actual business entity.

Some Megas lease their equipment rather than own it, are they not true businesses because of that?

The equipment and who owns it has nothing to do with owning a business. The equipment is just a means to an end in running any business.

There is more than one path to running a successful business and ownership of equipment is not a requirement to doing so.

There is a large difference in leasing a fleet of trucks and being a l/p Like I said if he's happy I'm glad for him. Being an l/p for any company does not make you a business owner.

Actually, not being an employee to a company makes you self employed, therefore if you are earning income, that makes you a business owner in whatever capacity that you earn income.

Again, you're entitled to your opinion, but because that's what you think does not mean you're correct.

An individual that runs their own business, makes ALL the decisions concerning how income is earned, is classified as a business owner.

By your logic, a driver that's owns their truck outright (title in hand) and contracts to a company under their authority isn't a business owner either. The difference is that the driver is simply making payments on something, but that company has no say so over that truck acc how it's run.
