People are so funny...... I'm sittin' at Loves in Tifton, GA until I load in the a.m., but Super Trucker just rolled by me. As he rolls by, I notice he's got on the bikini (fingerless) gloves. The reason I notice this at all is because as his hanging his truck over to the left of the lot to swing into fuel island, dude has a finger buried so far up his nose that you can see the finger anymore. Meanwhile, I think the entertainment's over, but oh no.... he pulls up the open spot directly in my line of sight. While he's fueling his truck, not only does he leave his super trucker bikini gloves on, he's looks to be wearin' a wife beater that ain't been washed in a week and is now givin' his truck a squeegee bath too. I'm only sorry I didn't think to get the camera out before he got to the other side. LMAO.

That reminds me..... yesterday's entertainent..... in Brunswick, GA before I delivered in Valdosta. I stopped the Hook there to grab a bite and some coffee. I'm standing there in line to pay up for my coffee. The driver side of the house is kinda slow, but I'm noticing the four wheeler side of the house is slam full and people backed up waiting to get gas (I still don't know what that was about). But, anyway, just as it comes my turn to pay, apparently someone had been accused of skipping line at the gas pumps and a fight broke out in the gas islands. So, for the next two minutes while I'm still standing there waiting to pay, the cashier's in a panic, the manager's dialin' the cops, and I get to watch the two idiots scrap it out over the extra three minutes it was going to take one of them to fuel and go. Guess it turned out to be a looooong three minutes for those two and their passengers. The cops were coming in the Hook as I was going out. Not only are people sometimes funny, as posted above, some are also very, very stupid.

People-watching is one of my favorite pastimes as well. Once I was caught in traffic delay at an on-ramp to route 202. The two young men in the car in front of me started making out... and after several minutes, the passenger's head disappeared into the lap of the driver... and wasn't seen again for quite some time.

I bet you guys see it all from the cab of a truck... :biggrin_2554:

People watching is a riot! It's absolutely astonishing the things one can see. I'll have to rack my brains for a tale to share, as I'm still not awake yet and it's 2:30 in the afternoon!

Gee, I was there the same day and saw no such thing. Did you notice that the price of unleaded regular was over $3.05 in most places in GA? Maybe FJ was offering the lower priced gas and folks just got carried away. There was a gas shortage in the south just a couple of weeks ago and people are still edgy. Stay focused on your task. That is not one of the shining stars in FJ's roster of locations. They do the best they can....

Nah, I don't usually pay attention to what gas prices are as I don't buy the stuff. I can see where people could be a bit edgy during a bit of a gas shortage, but still, a fist fight over waiting another three minutes? C'mon, this ain't grade school out here. As for the J.... I've never had a problem at, in, or near that J. It's a whole lot cleaner than the one in Ruther Glen, VA at the 104......

As a matter of fact, most all of the people I came across this last trip to GA were either pissed, irritated or downright mean. What happened to southern hospitality? The election is drawing down and I can't say how that fesses up with different folks of different pigment. Seems that some are just waiting for the shoe to drop for their time in the sun....
