hey, yeah Opal was my rec. as well sweet lady and really worked hard to get me on.

if w-11 is what you need then just do it, that rt. is quite laborious and the trucks have been denutted but once your out of the siskou's its flatland till the grapvine.

i know i have seen w-11 sitting in brooks often when i have gone thru their, but they dont do 48 so they wait till get something. try it out...

Most companies will only accept theirs anyway. They want their docs not another agency.

May will accept your own as long as it has been 6 months or less since you got it.

i was able to get in and get a new one today so i will be there monday.toughest part is gonna be leaving my wife and 2 little girls. my old job i was home every other night.not sure if i will get out right away after orientation or if i will have ta wait a few days. hopefully i don't have ta wait to long, sooner i get out sooner i get home. but if i have ta wait tell fallowing monday then i will go hunting over the weekend. got little fridge all packed up and got a new 750 watt inverter, plus my 400 watt and my 100 watt. have ta watch dvd's on my laptop tell i can get a 12 volt tv, then i will bring my satellite dish with me. anyone know what a good tv will cost me?

Orientation should be over Thursday. You MIGHT have to wait for Monday, but they're apparently pretty good about getting trainers routed through to pick you up.

I'd not put a good TV on the truck. Get an el-cheapo - a good one will fail just as quickly as a good one, what with all the rough roads.

For the inverter - make sure you have at least 6 feet each of lead and ground cable, and a minimum 100Amp fuse with case.

(Me, I never bothered with TV. I just fired up the tower and watched video there while I was programming on the laptop)

    Hi Lurchgs,

I just talked to a May recruiter on Friday, and they told me that trucks
have to be left at a terminal for home time, Is that True ???

I was really hoping to get on with May, but If I have to drive a personal vehicle 2-1/2 hours just to get home from a terminal, they dont sound like such a employee orientated company.
Especially when I only live 6 blocks from the nearest exits on the I-84 corridor........... :biggrin_2552:

    Thanks,

You can talk to your dm after you get one and ask for a location near your house. They will let you park in truckstops on hometime but you need to check on the truck daily.

you are responsible for all damages to the truck while it is parked at the truckstop.

Lurch lives close by his old terminal so he would not know the answer most likely
