That sounds like something to address with your employer. But without the 2 magic words "armored carrier" you won't get covered by the Act of 93 which I spoke of, thus making you illegal in the states bluerider referred to. We looked at the hazmat haulers (won't mention names) and decided on what we do. A mistake here would be bad but wouldn't make a crater where our truck used to be. Believe it or not we bad to pass background checks (local, state, federal and Interpol) before being hired. As part of hiring process we are held to the same standards of weapons training and qualifying as law enforcement.

What makes this such a good gig is our truck looks just like every other truck out here. This eliminates the look of an armored truck and keeps us safe from predators. Kinda lime a chameleon. See us in Loves or TA your never know it unless you knew what to look for

I just love these naysayers making a fool of themselves without doing research. I don't work for the company but I did research on them because I fell in love with the Pete's. They were even featured in a mainstream show talking about the whole operation. That's how I knew about the armored division. Teams only. Bad ###. They started as outlaws bootleggers. They ran outlaw too a with 550+ hp petes. A dream I'm sure. I even saw Lisa the blond lady at a truck stop after I've seen the show on i70. I almost went and said hi.
I love how even their daycab fleet in Denver looks impecable. I would love to work there one day.LloydToo Thanks this. -

Yes they were featured on an episode of American Trucker. Sassy is very friendly and a great driver. She would have said hi back without hesitation. Back in the day when big trucks were king the Monfort lane was shared by Western and a few other outlaws. Today they still run 600+hp Petes but it's the insurance co that calls the shots on speed. I'll just say we don't run 62 or 65 like some fleets and the owner still decks the trucks out in chrome and accessories. We plan on retiring with this COMPANY in 15 more years. Maybe longer who knows.... their slogan First Class since '33 is the truth.

I suppose you both are lucky not to have been detected with those guns in that truck over the years.
I myself would not go out there without iron in the holster myself. Things have changed and not for the better in some of those places.bluerider Thanks this. -
