I don't blame them. More companies should do the same. They put out a lot of money to bring in a new hire. Quitting or screwing up so bad you get fired before 90 days does not allow them to recoup some of their investment.

I love contracts...short ones.
Love watching the phone ring, in the bottom of the fish tank, every Thanksgiving, when they realize their truck is back at the terminal.
Next spring explore another bottom feeder with free breakfast, and good lies.Capacity, Upinsmoke, Veteran driver and 2 others Thank this. -
Turnover rate for that company for drivers is extremely high for being a small company, from what I understand it has to lot to do with a driver planner. some guy named Paul "###holee", A former Napa planner who was terminated over his attitude and directives towards drivers.
The word is if that guy was in the building for another 20mins he was going to get shot. Some other drivers stopped the shooter in the parking lot and temporary restrained him. They let him know that ###holee had been fired.
A few drivers that quit Napa that went to Paul Miller, left Paul Miller and went back to Napa...
As a former Paul Miller driver I can tell you my own experience. The trip planner and day time dispatchers under him. try to micromanage your life, in and out of the truck. And yes when you do leave the company before 90 days they withhold your final paycheck, they will find a reason to keep every single penny.
Companies like this need to go under.Last edited: Jun 25, 2017
