LMAO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Truck stop coffee is discussting. 90% of the time once it cools a little you can taste the burnt flavor and that's because they don't wash them pots with soap as often as they should. They just rinse and reload .
Many people don't even notice this cause they load up their cup with all those fufu flavors.
I'm a actual coffee drinker not a vanilla hazelnut or amaretto whatever, these folks ain't coffee drinkers.
The supplies to make it your own the way 'YOU' like and want it, going the pore over route with your thermos and filters is about 27 bucks plus coffee
Average small coffee 1.69 x 3 day = 5.07 x 7 = 35.49.
By the end of the second week you'll be saving huge. Now add in the convenience of being able to have a cup when up get up they way you like it.OLDSKOOLERnWV and Ooops Thank this. -

Don't need to steal water. If I'm going that route I'll just pour water in a glass and put it in the microwave that'll also be in the truck LOL.

I dunno my little wifey got me used to that Charbucks , maybe I could hope for a dedicated charbucks account ?

How can you steal water?
My experience with 12v makers was constantly smelling burning insulation, then the thermostat on the hotplate would go in a span of about 6-10 days. I was constantly making coffee so it was a butal test of these less then worthy devices. I invariably re-wired all of them (probably 6-8 separate ones over a period of 3 years) so that there were no more 'sensors' in the circuit and would have to pay pretty close attention to the smell of burning insulation which told me that it was time to unplug, not necessarily that the brew was finished (I was a bonafide coffee fiend) so I'd pour what had brewed(super strong) into the cup and let the maker cool, then start the cycle over again, pretty much continuously (3 - 4 times over a 18-20 day.)
If I drank coffee at that rate now, I'd be stopping to download every 50 miles. I just drink a couple of the doubleshot espresso and cream over the course of the day and that works for me, now. -

Washing a coffee pot ruins it. It's leaving the coffee heating after it's done brewing that imparts that nasty burnt smell.
I only brew one cup at a time and immediately shut the pot off as soon as it's done.
BTW... Eight O'Clock Dark Italian Espresso is where it's at. Three scoops of coffee, water at the 2 cup mark... mmm, mmm good.fargonaz Thanks this. -
Actually the coffee at the J is excellent. I mix the house coffee with the dark roast. Superb. Instant anything sucks! I was carrying a kettle and using a Melita cone filter system. Too much work in a truck.
fargonaz Thanks this.
