I always used electrical tape on my 2 inch straps. Left enough out for a few clicks. If you need more than a few clicks you need to redo the strap anyways cause you'll get too much in the ratchet.

What did you use for securement? Lots of spots to hook? Slip hook or grab hook?
I think I'm getting two of them tomorrow. I think I have enough to legally do one with chains, I don't want to use straps. May have to go shopping beforehand.

Oxbow, SAR and Crusader66 Thank this.

I used 3/8" chain with grab hooks. All I carry are 20' chains. I have been meaning to go get some slip hooks and cut a couple of them down but I am waiting til I run across some hooks made in USA.

They make it easy by putting a little sticker near the tie down points so even a Landstar driver can figure it out. That machine weighed 27K.

Thank you sir. I called and left a message to ask the model number. Mine are supposed to be 15k each. I remember other guys complaining about loading theee especially on a steel deck when it's raining. I'll get 4 more 3/8s chains/binders.
Made in USA is spendy. Don't get me wrong I nut up and pay but I still grumble.
