No one forced me to do anything. I can only work with what's available.

Who does anything for $250 all in? That's insane.

Have had one load with Guddy. Wouldn't say anything bad. They even reimburse me unexpected washout

As they should reimburse you if your not told about a load that needs a washout. Did you get reimbursed for your travel and time, prob not. Just another fine example of a broker not disclosing everything.

What do you think local loads are going to pay? Obviously you run long haul.

Well I know it sure ain't $250. My bare minimum woud be $500 and that would only be if it was for about a half a day. Last one I did was $900 for a 25 mile move across SLC. Took me 5 hours total. The one before that was two trips from North Las Vegas to Henderson. Took 10 hours total and paid $1500.

If you're booking loads for $250 not only are you screwing yourself, but you're lowering the expectation of rates and that screws the rest of us. Knock it off.

Big difference in the west coast vs east coast market. Average local load is 200-350 in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Charlotte is a huge industrial area where loads go fast. This exact load would have taken a total of 2 hrs. I've done it plenty of times. Leaves enough time left in the day to squeeze another 2 sometimes 3 more loads out. The demand in Charlotte is high because there are so many trucks. Call on a load and other lines ringing off the hook with other trucks wanting the load I'm calling about. If a load sits on the board for 1 min you better believe it's gone. Goes that fast. When there's more trucks than loads load prices are down. You should know this. You are in a remote area and was probably the only truck in the area willing to do the load so you capitalized off of that.

I would love to see you tell the local loads in Charlotte your rate, you would get hung up on and I would book the load from under you. If I could get 500 for a local load don't you think I would do it. It's not like I try to nail every load for 250. It's guys like you that give me the loads because your rate is too high. Usually a load paying 250 started at 175 to 200. You don't understand the market

Sounds like excuses to me. I just looked at LS load board and saw at least a dozen loads within 150 miles of Charlotte going no more than 150 miles all paying at least $750,. So IMO you could have done better. And here, even you admit that the $250 was cheap; although you try to blame it on the broker, like you had no hand in booking yourself on the load:
It's ok dude. Sometimes you go to bed at 2:00 with a 10 and wake up at 10:00 with a 2. Learn from it and move on. But just because some broker has phones ringing in the background is no reason to go cheap. The lizard on the corner may have 5 johns waiting, still don't mean she's got your best interest in mind.

    Good luck to you.
