UPS is thee worst of the worst. Six dollars a hour and have to buy a package car and on your own dollar have to get it painted trademark brown.

Worked for brown as a temp in the fall of 1991 and was one of two offered full time.
Was 30 yrs old and had been OTR for 10+ yrs prior.
Was my second union gig and didn't grasp the long term potential and the 5 managers per driver seemed like overkill but I stayed on nearly a year.
Moved on to another union job nearby and spent a dozen + yrs there. Our contract was negotiated following buster browns contracts thru the years as they were the compensation leaders.
Looking back I regret leaving that job but I was young and dumb and full of...you get it.
I would be a 25 yr+ senior driver at this point and probably have one if not the best start time and turn.
Been a union company driver ever since.
Still make good wage but all UPS feeder drivers in my area earn $100,000 dollars + each year.
Don't know the point of the OP was but if you have the opportunity to get on with UPS I don't see that union collapsing anytime soon

This thread doesn't fit very well with the TTR model because folks won't be able to bash them.
