Nah I don't get it either.
Yeah. I mean it moves but just a touch.
I don't think it's swr because it worked fine yesterday. I'm leaning towards grounding since the only thing that changed is the weather.
The antenna is a k30 by the way. -
Pretty much identical to a Wilson Lil Wil.
-
Makes sense, that's what he called it. Idk I'll mess with it more when I have time. Just wondering if anyone had a suspicion of what it was.
-
Are you getting much white noise/ static on the receive? Me personally I think its probably the antenna warning light that needs adjusting. I have a 29 NW LTD that sometimes the warning light comes on when I key up and talk and most the time it doesnt, Ive gotten to the point where I dont even pay attention to it, I just doubt after 2 days its a problem with the antenna already.
-
And also should of mentioned that I have a 29 LTD Chrome that I have never seen the antenna warning light ever come on in the same truck, same antenna.
-
I only get it if I turn my squelch and gain up. It's not bad if people are in range it's pretty clear.
How do I adjust the light or can I just let it stay on, it doesn't block me from transmitting or anything? -
Now the light went away on 21 and below channels. Lol whatever I'm not going to worry about it.
I also have my noise block on. Do you use that? -
From my experience Cobra 25/29 and 148's all have pretty low white noise level, if Im sitting still I will not use the NB/ANL but if Im driving and static builds up a bit ( presume its from front tires/hub) I will use both the ANL and NB.
-
Ok cool. Yeah mine isn't bad if adjust my squelch but if I turn my nb on I just leave the squelch wide open.
As far as people talking and static I think I only get static from people far away.
