Why would they not use company e-mail? This person didn't claim to be a driver and did not seem to say anything unreasonable.
Did I miss something? -
Typically the company lackeys tend to post on here (usually posing as drivers who have worked at such and such company for years) until their posts are traced back to a company ID address or server. Usually it ends up being someone like a recruiter or boss/owner of a company who responds to negative posts made months or years ago by the OP.
Traveler83 and JimmyWells Thank this. -
Well, apparently our company representative here "worked there for a long time", thus implying being a mere employee who wouldn't have access to those things.Lonesome Thanks this.
-
Again, I don't follow. Why would a company employee not have a company e-mail?
I think there is too much Us vs Them thinking poisoning the industry. While there are legitimate complaints on the part of drivers which are general to the industry, a knee-jerk prejudice toward anyone who works in the office is surely the mirror image of the incivility drivers feel from administrative folks.
On those rare occasions when administrators brave the shark-pit of a driver forum, we might invite dialogue instead of assuming the worst and leaping to the attack. In the end, all we have is conversation; let's not end it with negative assumptions about motives.TB John Thanks this. -
Well, for example our dispatchers don't have company emails. Only the top brass have those.
Management is welcome, but to maintain some semblance of credibility one needs to be honest about who they are when they join us.JimmyWells Thanks this. -
As a corollary, our dispatchers do have email. They need it to communicate with out customers.

Just reading through his meandering statement sounded to me like a con man typed that out. But that's just my opinion lol

I worked for a company that gave drivers company email addresses. They allowed family to email the driver straight to the qualcomm in case the driver has no cell phone reception.
My current company doesn't do this, but every single person in the office has a company email address. Even the receptionist. -
Why not just ask what their position is? Everyone at my company has a company e-mail; there is nothing unusual about that. I belabor the point because I want to see more administrative people participating in the conversation here. I think most stay away because of the incivility.
