For the Paccar motors, 2013 was a updated design and their having a lot less problems with the regen issues.
@gokiddogo hit the nail on the head with the Cummins motors. The 2011-2012 isx had a bad fuel pump design. I thought they fixed it for the 2013 model. I know a fleet owner who toasted 3 motors because of the fuel pump issues and Cummins wouldn't warranty it. -

I'm really losing hope in looking for a pete with a cummins isx 485... all I can find is junk paccar -
That's why they're cheap.
We have a 2013 T660 with a Paccar that I've driven for about a week. I'm not impressed. I was told the fuel millage would be a lot better then my Mack, but it wasn't really. I got around 5.5-5.7 running 70 mph 1/2 loaded 1/2 mt. -

It's a crap shoot. Depends how well it was maintained and operated.

I love resurrecting old threads...I case anyone comes along reading this...
Here is the deal Paccar motors are B10 rated. Cummins B50, but honestly they won’t even say for sure. Very secretive. Paccar tells you flat out theirs is a B10 motor. B10 means 10% of them will have a serious issue before 1.2 million. A B50 50% will. Volvo D11s, D13s and Detroit DD13s are also B50s.
Just my 2 cents.
