I have a 2012 Int Prostar Maxx 13 with 360k, just had the DPF removed, clean and burned and I replaced the pressure sensor, the one on top of the filter. The truck requires Regen between 100 to 160 miles when I drive in the city (I'm a local driver in Los Angeles traffic ), the truck doesn't like it when I'm going up hills or when I use the engine break or when I idle in those instances it request Regen even sooner, when I go up hills it gives me the flashing light without giving me the solid light.
When I drive long to another state it doesn't ask for any regeneration, only when running local.
I did a dyno test last week and they told me all is ok. Any recommendations? ?. Thanks
Regenerating every 150 miles

Yeah, ditch the Maxxforce, there's a reason they can't give them things away.
BigNorm4Life Thanks this. -
Did they clean out the ash box?
Did they check/replace temp sensor? Sounds like your system doesn't feel it's getting up to temp. That's a real common problem with those Internationals.BigTennOTR Thanks this. -
The olnly sensor that it was changed is the one in the picture and I think that one it's the pressure sensor, it's mounted on the muffler upright pipe DPF.
Which is the ash box? -
Ok, there is way more to the aftertreatment than just the DPF. Did they remove and clean the DOC? How about the PreDOC? How about the doser injector?
-
They removed the whole filter and took it apart, 2 pieces were taken to be cleaned and cooked and that sensor was put new. The Dozer was not touched,
-
Ok, I would have the dozer removed and cleaned. If you notice any white/grey bluish smoke once in a while, this is typical when a regen is happening but the DOC is worn out.

After I had my Volvo PDF burnt out, within a week it was wanting a forced regen. Turned out to be needing new knock sensors, just a thought.

HEAVYD,
I have seen in other post that you help them with engine info when they provide you with vin#. here is mine CN543054 would you be so kind to give me engine info. thanks -
my truck broke down going up hill, the line to the injector 4 blew out, stripped the thread of the line and the fuel high pressure unit,
$700 for the tow and $2500 for the repair, not my week.
