Anyone here have experience with this mobley plan that is really popular with the RV crowd. Seems like a perfect internet device for watching netflix on the road.

I ordered one but won't be in until monday, hopefully it works good. I like that they plan is only $20 bucks for unlimited LTE data with no other services needed seems really cheap but a quick google and seems to be the real deal.

This plan is talked about quite a bit on HoFo. To be sure, is this the Car Connect plan? If so, I understand some of them need a software update or it will shut itself down after 8 minutes. After the update, it will remain on until you shut it off.
If memory serves, I think you also need a power adapter if you want to remove it from your vehicle, as it gets its power from the ODB II plug on your vehicle. Would probably work fine if you left it hooked up in your truck. You might have some 'splaining to do if the boss or a shop cronie notices it, though. -
Yes it is connect car plan
Yes it needs the latest software from what I have read, supposedly it downloads automatically with in the first 24 hours if you have old stock with old software but most new one's come with new software already installed.
Yes if you want to install anywhere else besides odb plug in car then you need an adapter.
I order the 12v adapter on ebay, figure would get better signal if I mounted up higher in the truck also have a weboost cradle for my phone and will set it in there when parked.

Well got both my mobley and 12v plug in today. Called at&t to get activated and the csr had no idea what a mobley was and referred me to ZTE. Called ZTE and they referred me back to AT&T. Finally calmed down a bit(was getting pissed) and did some reading. I purchased my device from best buy on ebay, I read that I could activate at a best buy(not an option right now) or from att online. I finally found the link to activate online, entered imei and iccid off box and boom, super easy.
Seems to work great streaming netflix and even XBOX live is working well through it. Getting the NAT3 warning thing but doesn't seem to effect game play. Speeds are in low 20's to mid teen's for me on download and ping is 25 to 40 ms which isn't to bad at all really.
Going to pack up my Xbone and stick in my truck, may get a second one. Would be awesome to game online with my son on the road!
Only had for a few hours but will be definitely putting it through its paces in the coming weeks.
Also mine must have been newer as it already had the latest software so all I had to do was switch it to no time out.
Oh almost forgot, here is the link to activate at att website. Took me awhile to find.

HotH2o, NavigatorWife and snowwy Thank this. -
As I was reading the 1st paragraph, I was thinking, "should have just activated it the AT&T website". Later in that paragraph, you said that was exactly how you ended up getting it done.
Interestingly enough, the 12V plug is but one option to power the unit. You can also get a USB and an AC plug.
Best of luck to you. I hope it works out well. -
I'm interested to see how it works cause I would love to have wifi anywhere. Keep posting in the coming weeks!

So far so good, I hit the road in a few, will update how its going probably some time tomorrow.

Subscribing. Would like to see how this turns out. I've got the $35/month T-Mobile hotspot, but it's only 6gb of data and then unlimited streaming with binge on. Not perfect. $20 wifi anywhere would be a steal

I am definitely going to put it to the test, got my amazon firestick and Xbox one all hooked up for some online gaming, if this works well may try to convince the wife on letting me get a gaming laptop. Really into overwatch lately and prefer on PC.

I'm curious if it slows to 3g after so much data or truly unlimited
