Need advice as to what I should be trouble shooting. When loaded , if I have to get on the breaks really quick , for example red light, being cut off and such, the drivers side steer locks up. This has caused me to skid. Luckily it hasn't led to an accident. I find that it's usually only when loaded and on a quick and hard break situation. Any advice would be appreciated. KW T680 2016 . Thanks.

Brakes out of adjustment? First thing I would check plenty of YouTube videos on how to check.... Now if you have auto adjuster Wich you most likely do let a professional repair it...

Check for a wheel seal leak. Oil on brake linings can cause it to grab hard sometimes.

I have seen the brake chamber bracket twist on some trucks and cause some funky things to happen as well.

Does it lock up and stay locked up? Being that it would have ABS it shouldn't stay locked.

Road conditions? Is it possible that whenever it has happened there was water or loose gravel on the left side of the road?

Also being that its a 2016, does it still have warranty?

    BoxCarKidd and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

Yes on warranty. Dry , good paved road conditions. No loose dirt nor gravel. It wasn't the rumble strips either like I thought the first time it happened.

Have them pull both FT. drums, the one thats locking up on you is having to do all the work and may need to be relined like the other side thats not doing it share of the work because of wheel seal or you will not know till you can look at both sides?

I was having the same issue. Shop pulled both sides apart and found nothing wrong. Haven't needed to dynamite the brakes since. Not to sure what will happen if I do. Really don't want to find out either.

BS on checking it yourself, don't try to check a thing, call your company NOW and tell them you are having serious issues with the brakes on the truck, tell them it is locking up and if they complain, tell them if is not driving right to cover your butt, ask them to see if you can get it into the shop asap.

It may be there is an issue within the drum causing it to hang and then grab like dry cams.

All the things that have been suggested to check should be done daily part of pre trip
