I have been out of the country for 11 years but have kept my Indiana drivers license.
I just bought a house in Kokomo , Indiana and will be moving back very soon and giving up my job and wanting to start driving a truck.
I talked with Sage schools in Muncie Indiana and asked about driving jobs that get you home daily. He said there are plenty of those type jobs out there.
He talked about DOT Foods and Carter Express and they pay for schooling.
Before my wife and I wanted to travel all over the States because although she is a U.S. Citizen we have lived in South Korea and Philippines for the past 11 years and she wanted to see the states.
Now we have a new house and don't really want to travel but I still want to drive a truck but want to be home daily and have weekends off , I know lol asking a lot.
So if anybody has any info on a company in or around Indiana that does have home daily please share.
The guy also mentioned US XPress.
Also if I had to I could stay out for a 2 day trip on a dedicated route or whatever was available.
And to top this off I prefer drop and hooks
I am 63 and not looking for a great company for a career , I am just wanting to try to get a job for a couple years before I retire.
Any help will be very much appreciated !
Thanks
Okay , this should get me some response !

That's something to think about , if anyone has info on RV delivery please share !
Thanks for the infoBigTennOTR and AtticusRoad Thank this. -
I looked into RV delivery and it didn't pay enough after you factored in the lack of return runs, no hotel pay (you can't sleep in the RV or use the toilet), no per diem, etc. Of course, I don't live in your area so things might be different.
BTW...I'm a private pilot and love the J-3.dennisroc, BigTennOTR and AtticusRoad Thank this. -

I believe Con-Way freight which is now XPO has a yard in Kokomo. Not sure if that location does the training deal or not but something to look into. You will have to work on the dock more than likely, not sure if that's a deal breaker for you?
AtticusRoad Thanks this. -
