OK, but still, why 4 times the weight on the rear drive axle? Shouldn't they be pretty close to even? Unless it's a huge spread between axles, and even still, there should be a lot more on that front drive.

Almost seems as though the front axle isn't getting as much air pressure in the bags. Restriction in the line? Faulty leveling valve? Improper ride height? Whatever it might be, you need to get that looked at because 20K is typically the max for any axle.

Hydropak runs the pump & compressor with additional lines to run hydraulic fluid to run a trailer pump. Basically a self contained wet kit with 6 gals of hydraulic fluid instead of 50+

Spot on. That cop could have really put the screws to him by not only giving him a 7k lb overweight ticket, but also ticketed and placed him out of service for exceeding the rating of the axle(and likely the tires). Fib you got lucky.

Yeah it's a 19 k axle rating. Crazy king pin was right between the drive tires. Now its a little forward, but I have a different trailer for a Monday load, a rear loader.

How much vacuum truck work do you guys have? I was told only Houston use them for coal City. Granted that was from Jersey dispatch.

you have to watch the kingpin depth too, we had a bunch of MC307's specked for day cabs but used by heavier sleepers. The pins were set back with a spacer plate in front. One of the guys paid to have one swapped around and cured the over weight problem.

The guy who did the purchasing in corporate didn't have a clue that the trucks using the trailers he purchased were around 4- 5, 000 pounds heavier...

    77fib77 and ChicagoJohn Thank this.
