It does have its perks, sharing the rolling closet with another dude isn't one of them.

Kimberley asked me if I would train a woman once, I told her only if I get to choose her, and then she would have to get clearance from my wife.

I wouldn't want to share my truck with anyone, man or woman, and I'm single with no-one to approve or deny a student. :D

I just like having my own space, hard for me to understand what people mean when they say OTR is a "lonely" field, best part of the job is when I don't have to see or speak to anyone while on the road.

Someone who thinks like I do. When I tell that to my wife she says I need to see a psychiatrist.

Team driving defeats the whole purpose of this job, IMO.

...you guys get a pillow and blanket? :(

That's exactly what Ms. Tall Drink of Fine in the guard shack there told me when she advised me of the change some months ago.

There's a young lady that subs there from time to time, reddish hair. She's a hoot, when she decides to open up and talk.

Excellent suggestion runningman. Pulled in here with 4 minutes left after 739 miles. Denver was crazy, weather over Vail was a tad nasty especially shooting out the west side of the tunnel. And I'm reasonably convinced 8 of 10 drivers were stoned .... lol

Unless it's very tight of course, i actually prefer backing with the tandems all the way back. It reacts a touch slower but where you put those tires is where the back of that box is going. Everyone has their comfort zone of course. :)
