Great comment and one that I forgot to add. I got a kettle bell and some resistance straps (not the bands) and while I dont use them as mich as I should, they are immensely helpful in releasing negative energy and calming your mind down

That's why I think the best way to avoid / control stress is to control what you can control. I know where I'm gonna park at least the night before I leave. I know what time I need to get up in order to arrive an hour early. I know that if I get up at 5 or 6, I can easily be parked in 12 hours and I'm not doing it in a crowded lot or in the dark. If I'm going through or to a big city, I know how to get to my destination and what it looks like before I leave........and I'll happily get up at 4 am to miss the traffic. There are so many navigational and operational tools at our finger tips if we simply chose to use them.
Everything else, I'll get there when I get there. And just because you're in a bad mood, don't mean I got to be. Just let it go and slow down.
And one last tip, the OP mentioned getting stressed out and lost and turning down a bad road. #1 piece of advice; if you're lost, stressed out, late for your delivery, and everything is going wrong.......STOP. Just stop and regroup. You'd be amazed how well that works.

Driving is a small part of my job but I just roll with it. I'm human and only one guy. I'll get to the job when I get there and if someone doesn't like it, tough. Not gonna rush and stress myself out because the roads are a sheet of ice or because someone crashed and blocked the road for 45 minutes.

Worry about the things you can control. Ignore those that you can't.

About the only thing that stresses me is some of the idiots on the road.
Everything else I just go with it....I work for a really stress free company.

No matter what it is just another day...some better than others.

OPUS 7 and tinytim Thank this.

Whether I'm tired or "Stressed", the way I deal with everything is thru music. I have always had a big sound system in my truck. But it's my truck, I know many companies don't allow it. But this is the way I deal with it, "JUST CRANK IT UP".......

EZ Money, tinytim and AModelCat Thank this.
