Hey there. I work for EmWay now so can tell you all a little about them. Christine the owner is making some positive changes but there is alot of things that can be done better. I can break down pay so you can understand. These fees will be charged rather you work each week or not. This is a major negative. For instance if your truck is in the shop for 14 days you have to pay these fees just as if you worked. I understand trailer rental and all but not the 275.00 administration fee. Other negative is any fine given for weight or law can result in an additional fine from Em Way up to $300.00 per occurrence. So basically you pay the law enforcement then you pay Em Way because they say its to protect their safety score. J have been denied 3 loads in past year due to their safety score being negative. The pay is good based on where and how you run. If you do self dispatch you choose your rates and loads.

2% of gross pay goes to factoring
    $275.00 a week administration fee
    $135.00 a week trailer rental
    $155.00 a week cargo insurance
    $10.00 a week transflo
    $5.00 a week ELD fee

So basically a minimum of $580.00 + the 2% of gross pay will be taken out every week. So $20 for every 1000 plus the fees listed above. There is a $2500 security deposit

Yes EmWay doesn't have their own freight at all. All of their freight is booked through individual brokers. So yes you can us a load board and find yojr own freight. It will take some time to learn how and whats good rayes but tje key is to run in areas and stay where rates are good. For example Florida has wemt down on inbound rates that ise to stay around $2 or better a mile to $1.50 or so and they are horrible leaving Florida. May get $.90 cpm - $1.10 based on what you can find. Ive debated on going with a company that does have power only freight at decent rates because the load board can be time consuming. But you do have the freedom to run where you want

I run were I want and go home when I want also, but the 25% make me want to cry some time, so I run the North east mostly not the city of NY nor NJ but I go up state NY PA MD VA WV in mo ks on down to TX back to FL not South FL only it the rate is right going down, then I back up to NY again so in the area I run I am getting very good rate most of the time, I stay away from anything under 1:75 as much as possible some days I will get lucky , like I just drop one 450 miles 1450$ I had one it was a government load 800 miles I think it was paying 3800 to run it but I am not a citizen so I could not take it go figure

They think because they maybe states away from you they can do you any kinda way I say again becareful of that so call owner Christine she and her flunkies are money greedy and thy will do whatever it takes to rip off the driver.

I also ran with them about 8 months and they definitely switch dispatchers every couple weeks. Brian is no longer working and stopped out of the blue so I'm sure he got fed up with some of the crooked things Christine amd Jim tje GM were doing. I recommend staying away as well. Ive heard quite a few operators say Christine took forever with their last check and took way more money than they thought. She is fine with you until you decide to stop working with her company. She enjoys getting that $2875.00 a month so she gets pretty upset when you bring it to an end.

Well I was thinking about them but I will be staying at great-wide because I can read and understand my weekly settlements and I will say this they are not the best but they don't steel your money, put it this way if you run a load and they don't see you transflow it they email the agent you run the load for to let them know you did not turn it in know is that a company trying to take your money no

Let me say they do take your money from weekly settlements. You will be able to see what was charged weekly. Its 2% for factoring, 275 admin fee, 155 for insirance, 135 for trailer. So you are looking at 565-575 a week plus 2% of whatever you grossed for week. They hook you with the 2% but like i mentioned 2200 plus the 2% of whatever you did that month. So if tou were around 20000 gross for mo th they would ger 2600 out of whatever you did. The issue that drivers have is with getting their deposit back and final checks. Ive heard 4 months from quite a few operators and it says alot when dispatchers are in and out all the time.
