Example of Schneider tanker pay

Yeah what your saying is exactly what we should be able to get when they need us to shuffle trailers around but they only have that for like regional and local. So as a otr driver we usually never get that kind of work sent to us. Bout all I ever do is bring a empty to customer that I'm picking a loaded up at. This I don't mind even though I am doing alittle work for free doing this. But it's sort of part of it I guess and don't mind. Cause I'm leaving with loaded

 

I'm not sure how regional gets payed for this but I've heard they do. Regional an local are expected to move trailers an such, just not otr

All I know is the new drivers I met doing those accounts I have never seen more than once.. so either they are in back of a 53ft trailer up to elbows in freight to unload or they quit. I just don't know. I've seen pictures of the job and you will stay in shape more than just drop an hook drivers. I have heard that guys made good money on these accounts. I guess you just have to try it out and see. I have noticed the guys I've met that do these runs are trainers with students. I guess the extra set of hands comes in handy. Probably 6 months or year you can swap to something different if you don't like it. Give it a go. Keep us informed as to how it really is also cause until you do something everything is just hear say.
