Shoulda tagged you as well... glad you found it here. I've never heard of it, either.....at all. It COULD be a "cali" thing, or maybe border crossing? I do neither these days, but like to keep up with the regs.
-
There is a federal permit. When you sign the hazardous waste manifest you were supposed to put your transporter number on there.
snowwy Thanks this. -
-
Hazardous waste is different.. we're talking haz-mat virgin product ........slim shady Thanks this.
-
I never have and never heard of it.How many points did you receive?
-
-
Seems the permit is just for the top shelf products.....
And 392.2 seems to be the entire operating code.......and the 1160.4 is a CA thing.
Something is screwy with this ....Last edited: May 8, 2017

10 years ago was working for company involved in military logistic. Company policy was " non stop run". Only fuel and driver switch stops were allowed.
Early morning on I-80 east just out of Sacramento loaded with aircraft fire extinguishers with placards Non flammable gas.
Got pulled over for inspection.
DOT monkey checked everything under truck no any issue.
Let me see your HM permits.
California permit was OK but Alliance was old.
Please come inside.
Three heavily armed fat person in uniform inside the scale.
Do you know why we pulled you over?
No, I don't . To do your job I guess.
We pulled you over because you don't have a padlock on your trailer. Trailer is loaded with HM and terrorists can use HM from your trailer against the public of California.
My jaw dropped.
Drop your trailer, wake up co driver to watch the trailer. Go to Home Depot across the I-80 for padlock.
OK got padlock for 50 cents the smallest one.
Now you good to go, here is your citation.
Don't remember exact numbers need to look on it, Unsecured HM, permits not up to date.
Submitted citation to the company supervisor. He promised to take care. ####.
Next day company collapsed due to economic downfall and they left me ONE on ONE vs California.
Judge in California Supreme Court surprised me with new interpretation of my violation.
Unsafe vehicle condition.
Unlicensed transportation HM.
" Your hones in my citation......."
Shut up or I'll order to arrest you!!!!
Boomm
10,000 fine.
California is a cancer tumor on USA body.

Don't know what type of therapy will help.
Radiotherapy?
Chemio?
Or amputation?
Russians and Mexicans can split it to enjoy, I'll not regret.
i-80 East
Just wondering if anyone has had this happen? I figured the closest thing I have to a federal hazmat transportation license is my endorsement on my CDL.[/QUOTE]Plantfoam Thanks this. -
I believe the OP's citation was for not having this....
Dave_in_AZ, IH Truck Guy, Scalemaster and 7 others Thank this.
