    After-Hours Trading. There's a "pre-market" from 8:00am to 9:30am when market opens and an "after-hours" market from 4:30pm to 8:00pm.

Check with your broker. There might be some more fees associated with it... but I vaguely remember Interactive Brokers allowing me to do it back in 2014 at no extra cost. The market will have less liquidity and the spreads are usually very wide which can make it difficult to sell at a very specific price.

That explains why when i called at 8 am Friday, practically the moment the walked in the door he told me that he might not be able to get it all at one price and would have to piece meal together the amount i wanted.

Well, when you are selling tens of thousands of shares you start moving the market...

Since this thread has become our investment hijack Du Jour, if you haven't seen it I highly recommend watching The Inside Job. This was an Academy Award winning documentary.

The Big Short gives a fictionalized version of events, from the perspective of people that capitalized on shorting stocks that were exposed to mortgage backed securities.

@spyder7723, not sure if you seen the announcement by Celadon Group yesterday about being notified they may be delisted from the New York Stock exchange or not (http://www.truckinginfo.com/news/story/2017/05/celadon-stock-is-in-danger-of-being-delisted-from-nyse.aspx?utm_campaign=Headline-News-20170509&utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Enewsletter&omhide=true&omid=1009688218).

I’m all for taking some chances now and then, especially if you are young enough to recover but if they do get delisted that will almost kill any change the stock will recover. Looks like they have a minimum of six months from the date of the filing of delinquency to fix the issue before that could happen.

Just a FYI in case you missed it.

That was just an official declaration of what every one knew was coming. That die was cast when the auditor withdrew their financial report. Basically it means they have to file a new one and have six months to do so. It doesnt worry me. What does worry me is tonight's (edit: i misread, it's tomorrow night) release of the quarter financial statement. Last week they said they expect it to show a 10 million loss, but if its 20... there will be a fire sale tonight.

Ended up selling. I may buy back in the after hours if it tanks again.

Earnings is tomorrow night, the 10th. I bought this morning, and watched it tick between 2.20 and 2.25 for 4 hours. Sold towards the end for a small profit. I really miss my pro platform, trading off a static page makes me feel blind.

2.25 is what i got. I bought @1.59 on friday. 25k worth. So just over 10k positive. 30 goes to the toy fund(5 more than i had) And the balance im gonna use to play stock broker. I'm gonna treat it just like i did in my younger days when I'd hit the casinos. assume its already lost.

Well this is either the smartest or dumbest thing I'll do in my business thus far. I bought a southern '94 FLD120 flap top with an N14 red top, sight unseen, mileage unknown for $6,180. Flying out Sunday night to pick it up Monday. Not interested in playing the elog game. Been there done that. Having a sleeper will be nice too. Coming out of a FLD112 day cab 2000 model year.
