This is what I was alluding too earlier. People saying 2,4,6 weeks or 2 months is too long, or it's going to upset ones way of living. My question, how bad does someone want this? It's not forever, deal with it and go on with your life, and just maybe, you'll have a new career.

3 weeks? Crap dude, I'd have gladly done 3 months to be where I am now. We might have killed each other but I'd have done it!.... lol

One nice thing about having extra time is the attention you can give the rig and load. She's all clean inside, cleaned all the glass, a nice thorough going over every detail of the truck and trailer, put new filters in the front and back air ducts. And, got inside the trailer to make sure these coolers are secure. On my last HP run, 4 of 5 coolers were damaged due to not being secured properly. I am NOT going through that again!
All looks good. I'll top off the tanks before crossing into CA, grab a couple hours shut eye and roll about 4:30pm for this 9pm drop. I figure traffic won't be too bad at these hours going into Bakersfield and the run up north to Santa Clara should be pretty clear as well.
Be safe all. See ya on the flip side. -
Lonesome Thanks this.

For me, I came across this thread. I read the first 200 pages. Then I went to the end and backed up 50 pages to see if the guy who started it was still posting. (We all know how so many start a thread and then disappear while others keep it going for a while). He was and I read them. Once I was convinced he was the real deal, we made contact thru the PM here. Then on the phone as well. Ask John, we spoke for an entire week or so before I decided to leave PA and come here. But there was no question in my mind at that point.
LOL ... we even had the powers that be a touch confused because I smoke and John is adamantly against it. I think we each got a few phone calls from the folks in charge when I said I want John for the refresher, and he said he wanted me on his truck.JohnBoy, Lonesome, Gwh1184 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I'm not sure if it did any good, but I even washed the clothes I brought twice before climbing onboard just in case.
