Can I get some opinions on these two companies? I have an interview for mclane on Monday and reinhart wants to schedule one also I haven't got back with them yet though... just thought I'd come here for some opinions... I'm about 30 minutes north of Detroit Michigan and mclanes terminal is in Plymouth..which is about 40 minutes from me...I haven't talked with reinhart yet but supposedly mclane is promising $64,000-$70,000 my first year and that I would top out in pay in 3 years.. also said they have 1 day runs and two day runs available ... the start time would be between 10pm and 2am ...Again I don't know anything about reinhart yet I'm just trying to get my feet into the food industry .. I know it's gonna be hard work but I'm ready for it.. any information would be great! Thanks in advance!

In my area Reinhart is the bottom of the barrel it's so bad they are offering 8000 sign on bonus. It's local home everyday work but it isn't what I would call great. Now mclane on the other had it's two or three day runs but your gonna make bank I know guys making 100k over there.... hope this helps

Nothing wrong with Nebraska and I live here but an outfit that licenens there trucks and trailers here but isn't based here would be a red flag for me ...cheap!

I'm normally tank-yanking, next week I'm on dry van because we have nOObs that 'need to stay fresh', so they're tanking - DOT road closures / postings, rural areas, slow production season, yadda-yadda-yadda. Anywho - I requested of my DM not to send me to McClain's (NH). I realize as an outside carrier, they couldn't give an F about me (6 hr waits: check in to dock bump; 3 hr unloads), and i know you wouldn't get treated the same.... but that's how they treat their servicers.

We have Werner here so we can keep up Arkansas and Arizona in semi demolition derby and they do a good job of keeping dry van rates here low .lol

I've never worked for either of these companies, but I have delivered to both places. The Reinhart location in Cincinnati and the McLane in Hebron, KY. All I can say is that the people seemed unhappy and the facility was raggedy (relatively speaking) at Reinhart. The McLane location was spotless and the employees were all very friendly. This was consistently the case every time I delivered to either location, which was fairly often over a 3 year period. I know that says nothing about the job, because I was not in contact with their drivers, but I can bet the overall environment for the McLane drivers is much better (at least in the Cincinnati metro area).

If you want to know anything about McLane Plymouth, PM me and I'll give you my number. It's easier to talk I think.

A lot of guys here complain about a lot of changes here in the last couple years, but I don't think it's much different anywhere else. It's not as good as it used to be, but it's still pretty good.

Nothing wrong with where you posted your question. Likely will get better response here than In any other section.
