Hey y'all, if you're lucky enough to still have her around, call your Mother tomorrow. Mine is home and I can't be there with her, trucking can be cruel at times, but the phone still works so she's still going to here from me. My mother is a tiny woman, 5'4", 100 pounds on a good day. I'm 6'4", 240 and somehow or another I'm still her little boy...never have quite figured that out but it is true on a number of levels. So call your mom, send flowers or, if you can see her, take her out for a nice meal...she deserves it.

BD, just curious, was this only an afib situation or did she have a stroke or MI that went into afib?
Broke Down 69 and Oxbow Thank this. -
Been away from here a while....
BD, glad to hear your mom is doing well. I'm spending the wee hours this morning watching a soldier in the hospital after a suicide attempt. Sucks because he was a good soldier, and no one saw this coming. None of the typical warning signs or red flags.
I'm 11 days from collecting my DD 214, and another week and a half after that I'll be in Des Moines, starting my training with The Marine Corps. After my last few weeks, it'll be nice to be out of the army and pursuing life on my schedule. -
On that 214, make sure and get all the copies you can. both short and long forms. Then take one of each and store them in a good quality protective sleeve in a safe place. In about 6 months, do a full copy records request.
check to make sure everything that should be in the records is. if not, get them to fix that problem. Then check again in about a a year maybe 18 months. You want to make sure on all the records. it will save you a lot of time and trouble down the road should you have any need to access them for some reason. learned this sort of the hard way.Airborne, Lepton1, Crusader66 and 3 others Thank this. -
