Trucking is a field that would gladly take you in at your age. Where other fields may not. If your sure about entering into this field and not having a bad experience then Mountain valley express it should be.

Swift/knight would take you in but more than likely you would quit in 2 months. Coming from the fields your have been in.

Yes,sir theres no,shortage of "Solitude or Independence".Family life?...not so much if youre OTR.Sorry,I just cant be totally negative or tell you trucking is Glamorous, youre respected, lots of sightseeing, big money and relaxing. When I first started,it was all I could do to "Tolerate" the BS for the first couple years. The BS never stops..it just gets more tolerable. That being said if you are wanting to "jump in".Its not hard to get started.JMO

Find a company you REALLY want to work at BEFORE you decide how to get your CDL. CDL school is mostly a formality. The real learning comes with your trainer at your first company. There is a WORLD of difference between an average company, a good company, and a great fit of a company. Most newbies quit before 1 year on the job. Choose carefully.
