That ramp comment was about a certain person who thought he had a great deal to help another person out. Can we say discount. Person lding machine was slow and steady.. back end of trl came apart.. gee wonder why.
Got some people in trouble because truth was stated. That's all I can and will say....

25k per axle rating for the ramps. I've heard that number quite a bit. Nobody has mentioned the axle spacing, at least not that I've seen.. what is it?

I'd figure one axle on the ramps at a time. Still sounds pretty #### dumb to me...

    But what do I know..

I know this much. I am only OK with using ramps with my trailer because it's all steel and the rear axle is right at the back of the trailer. If I had an aluminum or a combo trailer or if there was any space between the back of the trailer and the axle I would never use ramps. Seems like there would be too much opportunity for flex if there was any trailer hanging past the axle. And according to the place I bought my ramps from they are good for 23.5K per axle, assuming only one axle on a ramp section at a time.

I have booked loads that were meant to be on an RGN, at least that's how they were posted. In fact some of the search parameters I have set on LS load board are for DD and LOW2. If I call and book one of those loads I do it for as much or more than the RGN guy would get, never for less. If they think they're getting some kind of a discount because I want to do it on a step with ramps I hang up on them. I am not here to lower rates.

That's just how I look at it. Maybe people think I'm doing it wrong.

I wasn't there for the previous discussions on ramp use or the dust up afterward so I really have no opinion there. I went back and looked. It was certainly educational.

The ramps are 8' long, so anything with an axle weight of more than 12,500 lbs would need to be at least 8' so 25k is not exceeded on 1 pair of ramps.
Just think that 1 pair of ramps can support up to 25k. The rest is the math.
