Amazon.com: PowerTech On Advanced Technology PURE SINE WAVE Inverter 3000W Cont/6000W Peak, 12V DC to 120V AC w/ Black&Red Cables w/Ring Terminals, Remote Switch, Protection System & 4 Output Sockets PS1004: Automotive

3000 Watt works as advertised for anyone thinking about going pure sine wave. I took the chance on this cheap inverter and it has worked out great for over a month now.

    Things to note...
->Must be mounted flat on the bottom, do not mount on its side.
->Runs literally anything I have thrown at it without issue. (IE: no more burning up kurigs with modified sine wave inverters)
->The thing is big but it fits in the side box of my volvo.
->I can use things I couldn't before like battery chargers that use household outlets.
->Puts out a full 120V and my microwave actually works better in my truck than it did my house.
->Comes with a remote on off switch...

Just a quick FYI for anyone thinking about buying one.

Thanks for posting , I've been shopping around for a pure.
I'm a little leary about Amazon though, there have been numerous reports that they have a counterfeit products problem. Having said that I was looking at the prices on xantrex pure sin.
From the recerch I've done they're supposed to be pretty good as well as Sunforce and Go Power.

Again thanks for posting , doing research on a product is difficult. Seems like every review site has a different brand ranked higher. $$$$$ paid to a site to get a better review.

I really felt I was taking a chance because of the price. It worked out well and I just wanted people to not be afraid to buy one if they were thinking about it.

Yeah inverters are one of those scary things because if they screw up they can burn your truck down

I heard good things about go power inverters. I plan on quitting the truck driving gig when my med card runs out so that was just a little too much to invest for a year and a half for me.
I purchased mine because my wife rides with me and she wanted to run this...
Amazon.com: Nu Wave 33201 Deluxe Air Fryer, Multicolor: Kitchen & Dining

and that old truck stop inverter I had wasnt up to the task. Probably the same issues you were having with the convention cook top.

After having real power in the truck I will never go back to modified sine wave again. Between that air fryer thing and the microwave she makes way better meals than whats in the choke and pukes out there and cheaper too. It paid for itself already just in coffee.

The quality construction of an inverter is important.
Really want to think the unit will run without having to keep one eye on it. Hook up is also very important. The units I have installed all had 0 gauge wire with fully soldered ring connectors and fuse links. The route of the wire is all clamped and protected where needed.

I have been getting the inverters from this place.
Have yet to have any problems with the products or customer service. Prices seem reasonable, and good warranty. they also sell a lot of solar stuff.

Previous driver had one installed by our shop. I just used their cables. When I first put it in I watched it like a hawk and now i trust it.

When my wife is cooking I can feel the cables get a little warm and the inverter is cool to the touch while pulling 1800 watts so I think I'm good there. I pulled the cover to see the construction because I was a little worried like you were and it is very well built. If my truck burns down I'll be sure to let everyone know but I don't see that happening.

The inverter store does have some pretty good deals but I like amazon because of their return policy.

Well I just found out the truck I'm going into that has a tripac evolution has a inverter already installed.
What I don't know is if it's the 1000 or 1800 That comes with trips.
So far the research I've done both are pure?
I'm going to call a tripac dealer here in bit to see if I can get a confirmation That both are pure.
