Exercise equipment could be on timers and paid for like showers with points or credits on your fuel card or cash.
I'd like to see better laundry facilities.
Maybe more fresh fruit and vegetables and a few groceries for those of us who enjoy cooking in our truck or during warmer weather cooking out.
What product or service should a truck stop provide?

A half way clean lot would help. Pick up the trash, hose down the piss with disinfectant, (and also hose down any drivers you see dumping their piss bottles there!)
While I'm on the subject of the parking lot - when the lot is designed, put in a storm drain system that is adequate for the size of the lot! -
that would drive prices up. since there are so many lazy ### drivers out there. get out and dump it in the grass or somewhere geez

What would be nice to see is more of a selection of food to buy not just the usual convenice store stuff. some places don't have a lounge and that would be nice if more did, more pull through spots some of us are tired when we pull into the stop and having to back up in a tight spot is just a pain in the ### after all day on the road.

better food selection would be nice. but not having to back up?! c'mon gimmie a break that IS OUR JOB! it is actually one of my favorite parts of the job. the tougher spot the better, i say.

Most truck stops forbid dropping the trailer and bobtailing out to go sightseeing. Years ago when I was OTR, I was a Bally Health Club member. I had to drop the trailer to exercise at a Bally Health Club because most did not have enough room for a tractor trailer. I always put a kingpin lock on the trailer, even if the trailer was empty. When I'm within 100 miles of the Mexican border, I come back to find out someone tried to hook up and steal my trailer ‼ I'd find damage marks on the kingpin, which is the result of someone backing up and trying to hook up to the trailer.
That is what I'd wish for, if I were to go back into OTR; secured parking (with a security guard) and the ability to drop the trailer and bobtail out. -
