I've got a 2007 Volvo vn430 with the eaton 2 pedal 10 speed autoshift system. When geared up at about 65 miles an hour when I let off the accelerator I'm hearing a grinding noise when coasting... has anybody had any experience with this or heard of this happening elsewhere?

been there done that... If I recall correctly it is putting the drive shaft at an odd angle... will end up with transmission problems if not fixed. Mine got so bad I could not make it up simple grades or bumps... My dispatch wanted me to run another 500 miles, nope,, so they got it fixed... shop said if I went that 500 miles, say goodbye to the transmission.

Copy that... I'll have it done today. I'm guessing if it is off the damage is already done.

Also I just had 11r's put on all the way around. Would that effect the air ride height?

It won't hurt anything if it's only been doing that for a day or so. If you've been running around like that for weeks would be another story. It's about a 15 minute job to measure and adjust if that. With a tape measure on level ground and adjust it with a couple of wrenches, I think 7/16". Watch whoever does it and you'll see. Get the spec sheet for ride height printed off from the dealer and put it in the glove box for future reference to DIY.
