No. Auxiliary heater for the winter. Idle away while sleeping when need to.

Do they provide fuel and routing or is that on you?

Look at the starting point in the map, then the ending point, and go the shortest way. Our main route is 40. We also have a company route going to the NW and west, north of 70. Fueling is ALL Pilots/Flying J's. And Loves only in an emergency. There are a few states we aren't suppose to buy fuel in, but in an emergency you can.

I bet you wouldn't even have to get that loud. I imagine a politely-worded email to Kimberly, something along the lines of

"It was my understanding that our hometime days were banked, so that if I had six banked hometime days and used two, I'd still have four left. So I used two days, and then found out that the other four days went *poof*. I'd appreciate it if I could get those four days back."

I bet something like that would work at least as well as going into the office breathing fire. (Although possibly not as cathartic.)

All that said, I somehow gleaned (possibly from reading this thread all the way through and seeing KD5AXG go through the same thing, vis a vis losing hometime he thought he had banked) that we don't bank hometime days. So I've never worked any more days in a row than what was necessary to get me the hometime I wanted.

Since I was personally told by him, until Kolon Jones tells me personally that I can no longer do so, I fuel exclusively at Loves.

I remember 2 years ago that fleetwide message telling us only use Love's in an emergency. I haven't heard otherwise since then. This topic has come up on occasion and been discussed. And I do recall you saying that on a few occasions. I'm not disagreeing with you, but it would be nice if the powers to be can send out a QC message clarifying it, I mean that is kinda of important, almost like sending that message every time we get a Boars Head load reminding us to make sure we have a reefer trailer.

Cool, even I can get a log violation. 21 minutes to get to a safe haven.

I sometimes think they love all the confusion they create. Other times I think they're still trying to run this company as a small business where they are still behind the wheel of the truck instead of the bigger one it is now. That is how a lot of things get missed IMO. Growing and then trying to play catch up is never a fun thing. Usually, things tend to smooth out, but it seems like things just keep getting wonky-er. Kind of like finally hiring a human resource person after how many years of being in business? Even she isn't aware of things. Like the fact that I have been dealing with all this stuff with my mother for 3 months now (actually a lot longer). Called me yesterday to inquire and tell me I have to have my mother's doctor fill out forms for FMLA to keep track of all the time I'm having to take off. Just to cover me. Not that my job is in jeopardy or anything (her words). The way it was insinuated; however, sounded fishy. But, I will get it done, as long as her doctor cooperates. He may not be willing. HIPPA and all.
