I wasn't liking from what was hearing from banks so I'm letting my lease run its course, only 6 more months or so.
    780 credit score means nothing.
Long story short you get screwed by doing a 3 lease year.

    ChicagoJohn and SingingWolf Thank this.

Generally speaking a first time truck buyer will not get financed through a traditional bank without assets to use as collateral.

If you can put about about 50% of the purchase price down, there are finance companies that will work with just about anybody.

With a good credit score, a contract, and 20% down you should be able to get a truck through a dealer.

Either way you're going to pay a high interest rate until established as a successful truck buyer.

Go buy a glider. The financing terms are generally less stringent on them.

It is. While the manufacturers have their own finance companies, none of them will finance a glider so you have to deal with banks and business lending companies such as gecapital. So its not like it can't be done, but those lenders are a lot tougher than say going to freightliner to buy a truck and financing it through daimler
