Yea I'm on a 3/2 I love it make plenty of money and off 8 days every 2 weeks. I asked my gtm about the 3/2 and 6/3 being cut. He said it's not gonna happen at my dc. We have 30 drivers on the 3/2 and more than that on the 6/3. He said if those programs where cut they would have to bring in a lot of trucks. He said the gtms had a meeting with bentonville and the programs changes are left up to each gtm. But I will say I believe the guys who are on set runs are the ones they are looking at.

Highly doubt that. I wouldn't count on the programs going away! The fact is, if everyone was on a 5/2 with assigned truck, Walmart would need to buy an extra thousand tractors every trade cycle, and that isn't going to happen. The whole idea behind the programs is, for one example using the 5/2 5/3 and 6/3, is you have three guys sharing TWO trucks. And these trucks don't do much sitting when not used for the few hours between drivers as it gives the shop time to service or repair them, and when another driver needs a tractor for the rest of the day. The programs aren't going anywhere. Having said that, I was on both the aforementioned programs and since I transferred I'm on a 5/2 awaiting a truck opening up...and seeing what I can make NOT on a program, I'm staying on the 5/2!

I'm more partial to buttons, personally. They do a better job of camouflaging my belly. :laughing6:

5 1/2 guys make the most. Guys have told me 125k is pretty easily attainable. Me I want to be home more than a 34 hr reset though.

I'm just going by what they said as far as taking a look at some of the programs and depart times that are affecting the fleet negatively

how do you guys think depart times affect things? Would they want earlier or later? I know for me I would hate Ann earlier time, that would mean leaving home at 3am.

I could see a push for no assigned trucks. Assigned trucks sit 8 days a month. We're not adding any trucks, but adding drivers. They want to better utilize the trucks we have. He said on any given day, a third of the fleet is parked. GTM said big changes coming. They'll look at every dedicated run and analyze each run's effectiveness on an individual basis when he was pushed on the question. Pretty tough session I sat thru. Some pretty heated exchanges. We saved $675,000 on our budget for the month just trying a revolving mandatory extend based on your board. 1st week "A" extended, then "B", and so on. Didn't need a single outside carrier. They're really out to trim some fat it seems. Interesting times. I always clean my truck out completely anyways on my 6/3. They did make all our Friday and Saturday outs move to Wednesday out to even our work load and reduce sitting.
