legal sleep aid for truck drivers

I take 2 Aleve PM approximately 3 or 4 nights per week. It will definitely not make you fail a drug test.

Nyquil seems to be the go to sleep aid for some drivers.

 

Don't worry, sleep well. Swift isn't going to park next to you. They are in the ditch.

 

What kind of sleeping pills can a truck driver take? I am a new driver and I have very bad insomnia. I was taking melatonin but was not working for me so I take over the counter sleep aid now and that works better.

 

I just eat carbs and then it is nap time but then I have always gone to sleep after eating a hot carb meal it is that thanksgiving effect all year round

 

Get a movie you like, that you've seen many times. I have a couple that I've seen SOOOO many times, I put it in, and within 10 minutes, I'm out.

I use an OTC that is often hard to find but for me, works much better then diphenhydramine which leave me feeling weird shortly after taking it, and not in a good way. I use a half dosage of Doxylamine Succinate, generic. I'll also blend that with one melatonin capsule and sleep great, no matter and wake up easily.

But you have to hunt for it, and you'll have to look harder if you want the cheaper generic brands. Walmart usually has them.

 

I know dog folks who use Rescue Remedy to help them sleep. It's available at pet store. If it's safe for animals no doubt been tested on humans. It's what we give restless dogs in transit. The drug is Volarian.
