I have no idea what they charge; they don't let the drivers in on that. It's expensive though. I've hauled acid from Tennessee to California and other places such as Phoenix, Canada, Seattle, and it pays the driver the same, empty or loaded. Haul the load to California, 45 minutes to unload, then deadhead (empty) back to Tennessee. Get the same pay both directions. You'll see a lot of that in hazmat tanker work. Easiest money I ever made.

Tanker. I've done both, and hands down, yank that tank. The local possibilities with high pay and good bennies are endless with hazmat tank.

Casting another vote for tanker. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

Tanker! I pulled tanks for 2 years and then I decided to try flat bed because it was a local job. It only lasted 2 months and I went back to pulling a tank. I pull a pneumatic and absolutely love it. You also may want to look into dry bulk. I believe TWT does dry bulk as well
