What app do you guys use to check out a new store layout? I was at Raymond and a driver showed me store layout on her phone but I was to amazed to ask her what it was.

Google maps. Most stores are in there by number too, so I always start by entering, for example, 'Walmart 2252' which will return the correct result 98% of the time. If that doesn't work, then enter 'Walmart Easton PA'. The satellite view comes up and you see everything you need to. I'm actually amazed at how few drivers even know about this! I've used Google maps for 6 years now, it's been my best friend! You can also 'follow' your route and use 'street view' to read signs, for instance if you're unsure whether or not RT 39 is truck friendly or if the bridge you see on the satellite view is passable, you can check out the signs at the intersection. It is definitely the most valuable tool in my tool box. It's great.

I use Google maps as well. I play a game with it. Its called find the Walmart using the birds eye view. 90% of the time I find it, the other 10 is Lowe's or home Depot lol

Around my area it's about 99%, but every once in a while all I see is a pile of dirt and a bulldozer, LOL. Great for vendors too...nothing beats being able to see the layout of an unfamiliar place before you get there.

I've read over the minimum qualifications on the walmart Web site for otr driver. My question is, if you have anything on your driving record that is older than those minimum qualifications, do you guys think that it would be held against you in getting hired? Thanks
