Thanks. I did apply to them on Thursday night. It may e a good way to get in with them and then do team driving next year when we are ready.

Hi all. Just did 5 weeks training herr on the Ms coast only to be kicked out because I was hospitalized 2 days before skill eval. I am looking for a 3rd party tester. As well as advice on how to proceed. I went into the program with my permits. Would I be able to be hired with permits alone temporarily?

    Were you at KLLM?
Sygma Network hires drivers with only a cdl permit. You and the trainer go right to work on-the-job training in food service.
If you don't want this, then just start over with a training company.

Wellcome to the club...ME Too I am a woman leaving the oil and gas corporate world ... but I dont have kids so over the road is not a problem but yes there is lots of local driving everything from delivery like UPS and FedEX to Tankers that fill up Gas stations, there are reginal jobs too for most companies you would only be gone up to 5-6 days for those... I would start with local deliveries and such and see if you want to do the Tanker thing you would be home at night in most local cases... with that said there is lots of ppl who want the same thing and the big money is over the road OTR... I know the economy sucks and has for more than a few years now but if you want to be home every night ... you might want to look into something else like Mail delivery and have a dedicated rout but the local and part time stuff doesnt pay great but I am laid off so any money is good money for me
