Team driving pay in general is you get quoted a cpm for yourself or for the team.

If quoted say 60 cpm for the team that means the truck makes 60 cpm for all miles and then the drivers split it down the middle. So you both make 30 cpm.

If quoted 30 cpm for you, that means you get 30 cpm for all miles the truck goes.

This seems lower than the 38-40 cpm a solo driver will make, however a team truck will go about 6k miles a week. Solo might get 3k miles. Calculate it as 30cpm for 6k miles vs 40cpm for 3k miles.

I'm wondering about this as well, looking to do swift team flatbed, which I was told is 50cpm which means a 25cpm split and the recruiter told me that team drivers make on average 500 more miles then solo,if that's the case you would make less then a team

Never really stopped and did the Math, you'd have to work out your take home pay for the week and see if your in front compared to solo, your defiantly going to do more miles however it really comes down to the split. If your on 50c per mile you'll be on 25c each so you will need the miles to make up the difference however if your on 60 - 70 c per mile it certainly would be worth it. Solo @ 32 per mile x 3000 = $960 Team @ 55 c per mile x 5000 = $2750/ 2 = $1375
