I typed it earlier but didn't seem to make it, there really wouldn't be much liability. You could still use the bottom factory ears which take the load. You just need hinges capable of handling the the weight of the stinger flipping up. The hydraulic pins aren't even necessary and wouldn't affect safety or performance.

The 19 on it's side looks to be IRH unit
Don't hold me to that. Got a few more msgs going out. Also it looks like they just came out of a curve/turn. My 19 expert says they may have tried coming around it and not steered it. Then if rear got to close to the edge. Well the rest is history so to speak

Speaking of him, I passed on of their tricks on 71 today with a 12 or 13 axle what I would call a "stock" trailer. Can't remember if it was a Trail king or what but I can't ever recall them pulling one like that. Nice trailer.

Yea he was in Akron today with a small trl moving a transformer. They have a couple 13 12 axle setups I know he has spoken of. 1 is a non steerable and some of the guys cry when they have to pull it he says.

Not necessary but easy to configure and to apply. Most east coast stingers uses shims on top instead of pin hinges. And I don't want any kind of hinges to be on top of frame, so it would have to be recessed hinges for clearence for what I want. Can it be done? Yep. Just alot of fabricating on the rear of wagon. I don't want alot of work involved in pulling shims and pinning top hinges. There is a transition point for the hydro cylinders that is an issue without (arms) that would stick up or stick out the back when flipped that I haven't figured out yet.

Yeah I understand, most Talberts have hinges at the top also you just pull the pins to shim there's a set of horizontal bolts that go though the stinger shims and the back of the trailer to lock it together. I agree I hate the ears sticking up.

I had never seen that type of trailer behind them before. They're usually big it those heavy built step decks they pull. It look almost new.
