I'm starting out in flatbad was offered a job at logan making 25% of the load. This may be a stupid question but is 25% a decent rate for flatbed? Or should i move on to a different company, any helpful advice is appreciated.

Ask them flat out what drivers average per mile on their percentage program.
Orangees, snowman_w900, TripleSix and 3 others Thank this. -
That's bout the only effective way to know if the pay is decent or not @wcherron
25% of good paying freight is better than 30% of crap paying freight.K Wopper906, Orangees, QuietStorm and 8 others Thank this. -
I was told it's a flat 25% then after a year it went to 26% and about 2500 miles a week.
cke Thanks this. -

Yea i got that after i went back and reread what you posted.. sorry my kids are running around like chickens with their heads cut off and driving me nuts. But i will call and ask them.
cke Thanks this. -
Is that W2 or 1099? Percentage is the only way to go with flatbed unless they strictly do full loads only with 1 pick 1 drop. I run mostly partials so it's worth it for my drivers to be on a % based pay instead of CPM
Steelhauler1246 and cke Thank this. -
It's w2 and I'm pretty sure they strictly do full loads but I'm not positive.
cke Thanks this.
