I'm still here. Spreading the good word? That is laughable at best. I don't work for Malone or any other flatbed company. Defending a good person in Playa, yes, that I am guilty of.

You have to admit that a few of his posts just reeked of recruiting type speech. I'm sure playa is a real person, maybe even a driver. But I don't think he was being 100% honest with his experience. You'd be a fool to not be suspect after reading through the thread.

Maybe he is being 100% honest. Why would he leave malone then? He apparently bought a truck to lease to another company, if he was being honest, why didn't he put his truck to work at malone? Why would he just leave all the relationships with all the agents that he was making all this money from and start over fresh, not knowing anyone? The whole thing stinks. I wish he'd come on here to explain himself. I came here looking for solid info to try to help base decisions off of, but I guess take everything with a grain of salt and do very good research and trust no one.

he didn't like the maintenance on the crst truck that part does suck. but it is what it is. the contract tells you in black and white. for leaving he told me he was going over to where a friend of his was. maybe thinking the grass is greener. who knows. but it would be nice for him to stop by and say hi. as for getting other people hired on. you get 250 for a lease driver and 2500 for a onwer to sign on. that's about the same as other company's give out. .

a good friend of mine told me there's only a nickel worth of difference in trucking companies. . not all companies is for all drivers and not all drivers is for all companies .you just have to find what works for you. ....

The problem with that is, is that it's very likely that playa is not being honest with his experience. I have nothing against malone.

On that note....if you sign on with your own truck do they still take the maintenance out of your settlements? And on the website it says no age restrictions on equipment, but playa mentioned he had a qualcomm? I want to buy an all mechanical truck, because they are reliable and cheap and I can do just about all the work on them.

The only true way to know what a company is like is to go work for them. Everyone experience is different.

I agree with this but if you saw the amount of people in each orientation class they have that don't make it very long that speaks volumes. These places are driver mills and they're getting rich off of US.

He probably was a driver yes.But he was misleading people about Malone.Imo he was trying to rack up referral bonuses when I accused him of that he ask all the people he referred to Malone to say it wasn't so And none responded. His claims of the thousands of dollars he had banked in just about 6 months of working there I didn't believe.I was leased there awhile with my own truck and trailer you ever noticed he ran all over the place but never had to sit a day for a load that doesn't happen there if your running all over and out west to boot.Malone is who they are if it wasn't for all the LP trucks they run it would be a good company to lease to.

If a man or woman wanted to do a LP it's there decision. But personally I wouldn't do it ,at Malone from what I learned while leased there. You have no say in truck you get and there isn't any at the terminal in AL to even look over.there maintance accounts is not yours it's what they called a warranty they decide what gets fixed and how.If you need tires and they have used tires that's what you get.while I was there a LP driver blew his engine after two years of being there his warranty pays for a new engine but Malone wouldn't let him keep it with a new engine they put him in a different truck again he had no say in truck he got.
