I've got a job offer from DHT, sounds honestly really good, but with a heck of a catch. I've been told that chances are I'll probably have to park the truck in Fontana, CA for my home time, which is something like 220 miles from where I live. When I asked her to elaborate, and if I could just park the truck at home, or somewhere in Las Vegas instead. She told me "well we don't run very much in Las Vegas, and we don't go further north than that, such as to Utah, at all. We run mostly the southern states, along the I-40, 10, and to the south of the 70. But if by chance you can snag a run that goes to Las Vegas, then you can park at home". So while this has me probably taking a pass, just because I don't want to deal with having to park my car in California, and drive 220 miles just to get home every time. I thought I'd ask if anybody who drives for DHT on here has any first hand knowledge of how often you run to or through Las Vegas. Or better yet, if you happen to be one of the 3 or 4 Las Vegas based drivers, she estimates to have in the company, then what's your experience been like? Thanks.

I never see Danny Herman trucks in Vegas. I have lots of Roehl and tons of swift that park near my house but i dont think i have ever seen a DH. Prime is around there a bit too.

@coueshunter can answer your question; he works there and been there awhile.

To me it would depend on how often you went home and for how long. If you had a local job 25 miles from your home you would drive the same amount of miles a week back and forth to work.I personally don't think I would want to do it if I was going home every weekend just for a 34 to 40 off time.

We rarely go to Las Vegas. There is a contract we have that goes there, 2 of them actually but it's not a common thing that I would depend on if I was you.
I live in phoenix and drive to nogales. Almost 200 miles. No big deal to me. I do it every few weeks. I put in thousands of miles a week. Last thing I'd do is worry about a couple hundred seed me drive home. If you got any questions I can help ya out

Is that out of choice? I currently started working here, and was told I can keep the truck with me in phoenix as long as it was parked safely. Also no long extended hometimes, so they can mait. It?
